ONGOING WORKSHOPS Beginner Digital Photography ~ Ongoing~ Available by Appointment This 2 hour workshop focuses on beginner techniques for those starting out in digital photography. If you want to learn more about your camera and how to fully utilize camera features or if you are mystified by how your camera works, this workshop is for you. Deposits and Reservations required. Julie will book appointments for these individualized workshops based on your schedule and studio availability. CHILDREN'S WORKSHOPS~ WINTER 2008 Children's Clay Name Sign Workshop
Upcoming Available Workshop Dates: May 10th from 12:30-2pm June 21st from 11-12:30pm Students in this workshop will work on hand-building a pottery piece The instructor will demonstrate techniques and methods to teach children some basic principles of working with clay and the focus will be on slab building. They will also get to paint their piece using underglazes. Pieces will be ready for pick up 2 weeks after the workshop is completed...let your kids work on creating a great wall hanging piece for their room...we recommend ages 5 to 12 years old for these workshops. Pinch Pot Mug Workshop Upcoming Available Workshop Dates: May 10th from 11-12:30pm July 12th from 11-12:30pm Students in this workshop will work on hand-building a pottery piece using very basic methods of creativity and construction. The instructor will demonstrate techniques and methods to teach children some basic principles of working with clay and the focus will be on pinch pots. They will also get to paint their piece using under glazes. Pieces will be ready for pick up 2-3 weeks after the workshop is completed to allow for drying time and multiple firings...we recommend ages 3 to 6 years old for these workshops. KIDS Clay Suncatcher Workshop-for children ages 3~12 yrs old Upcoming Available Workshop Dates: June 7th from 12-1:30pm Designed especially for children of all ages! Students in this workshop will work on hand-building 1-2 sun catchers using very basic methods of creativity and construction. They will get to use freehand and shapes to create their original hanging sun catcher and will then get to paint it using underglazes. The suncatchers will take approximately 3 weeks to be completed. Upcoming Workshop Dates: June 21st from 2-4pm (Saturday) Sept 20th from 2-4pm (Saturday) Learn to make your own personalized sterling silver cuff bracelet to keep or give as a gift. Learn cutting, stamping, shaping, filing, finishing and oxidizing. Please bring a household hammer with you to this workshop. Everything else will be supplied for you. Time willing, you will leave with 2 completed bracelets. One to keep for yourself and one to give as a gift! No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 2hrs. $ 80 per student.
Precious Metal Clay for Beginners-Workshop Please note: Due to the rising silver market, this workshop may be increased at time or registration due to an increase in cost of materials.
Upcoming available workshop dates: May 17th from 2-5pm (Saturday) July 19th from 2-5pm (Saturday) Learn about PMC without having to make a huge investment. Precious Metal Clay is a clay-like material that when fired in the kiln turns to pure silver. Experiment with this material while using instructor's tools and techniques. Learn ways to incorporate this incredible jewelry material into your own designs. Finished work can be picked up after firing. Class cost covers 1 package of PMC, use of all tools and firing of completed pieces. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 3 hrs. $135.00 per student.
Corrugated Metal Workshop

June 14th from 12-2pm (Saturday) Sept 13th from 12-2pm (Saturday) Make a variety of textured shapes that you can combine with beads to create your own pair of earrings or pendant. Students can use either copper or sterling silver. You will learn how to add texture the metal, add a patina to silver, add beads and ear wires to make earrings or a jump ring to make a pendant. You will leave this workshop with multiple pieces that you can keep or give as gifts. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 2 hrs. $ 70 per student.
The Art of Spirals-A Wire Working Jewelry Workshop
Upcoming available workshop dates: May 31st from 12-2pm (Saturday) July 26th from 12-2pm (Saturday) Learn how a few simple tools can be used to create your own unique jewelry in this wire working workshop. You will learn how to make a variety of links to create your own necklaces, earrings, bracelets and pendants. Students are welcome to bring any materials (beads, charms, etc.) they wish to incorporate into their finished pieces of jewelry. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 2 hrs. $ 55 per student.
Triple Seed Bead Necklace Workshop
May 3rd from 12-2pm (Saturday) Learn how to string seed beads, use crimp beads, attach a clasp and hammer your own copper pendant that you can hang from your finished necklace. A variety of colored seed beads are available for use. All supplies are included but students are welcome to bring any materials (beads, charms, etc.) they wish to incorporate into their finished pieces of jewelry. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 1.5 hrs. $ 55 per student
************************************************************************************************************** MORE ADULT WORKSHOPS~ SUMMER/FALL 2007 Fused Glass Tile Workshop
Students in this workshop will work on creating 4 fusible tiles utilizing various types of glass. With help from the instructor, beginner level students will get to experience the art of creating fused glass tiles. Different types of glass including colors and textures will be utilized. The fee includes all supplies, instruction and kiln firing for the fused glass tiles that each student creates. Pre-registration is required and registrations will be accepted up to Sept 20th for this workshop. Maximum attendance is 12 people. Beginner MOSAIC Workshop for Adults and Children Students in this workshop will work on learning two small basic mosaic projects to learn mosaic techniques that will allow them to tackle larger projects on their own-we provide the projects and supplies you need that allow you to learn the techniques. Children can participate and work on one of the two projects for $45 per child (children must be accompanied by an adult who is taking the workshop along with them at the adult price to participate). This is a great workshop to participate in with your child. This is a two part workshop. Stained Glass Workshop for Beginners Upcoming Available Workshop Dates: June 28th (Saturday) from 9am-5:30pm Students in this all day workshop will learn various techniques to create an 8x10 (approx) window panel sun catcher featuring their choice of pattern, using stained glass techniques. Use of all tools and supplies is included, although it is recommended that students bring in a pair of safety goggles or glasses to wear. Students will choose from beginner patterns supplied by the instructor but will get their choice of colors to utilize in their panel. Price Per Person: $ 125 Instructor: Anita DiPietro

Students will experiment with weaving techniques and gather some understanding of the basic process. They will also explore the way yarn is manipulated into basic fabric structures. About the instructor: Dawn McCarthy has a degree in printed and woven textile design from Manchester University in Great Britain. She is a member of the South Jersey Guild of Spinners and Hand weavers. She currently works out of a small studio in her home in Moorestown, NJ, where she produces handwoven goods under the business name Bloomin Loom.
