DIGITAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOPS for ADULTS
Beginner and Intermediate Digital Photography ~ Ongoing~ Available by Appointment 1x1 Instruction $ 30 per hour per person (1x1 instruction) One hour workshop focuses on beginner techniques for those starting out in digital photography. If you want to learn more about your camera and how to fully utilize camera features or if you are mystified by how your camera works, this workshop is for you. We will discuss manual camera settings, composition rules, camera features and more. Deposits and Reservations required. Next Dates Wednesday, March 14th, 2012 from 7-9pm A beginner workshop in belly dancing. Come begin to learn about this artistic dance form. A Creative Genius favorite! Pre-registration is required. Instructor: Brooke Vanderzee $ 20 per person includes instruction.
Beginner MOSAIC Workshop for Adults and Children Students in this workshop will work on learning one small basic mosaic project to learn mosaic techniques that will allow them to tackle larger projects on their own-we provide the project and supplies you need that allow you to learn the techniques. Children can participate too (children must be accompanied by an adult who is taking the workshop along with them to participate). This is a great workshop to participate in with your child. Upcoming Available Workshop Dates: March 31st from 10am-2pm April 14th from 10am-1pm Students in this workshop have a choice: They will learn various beginner techniques to create EITHER a sun catcher or an 8x10 panel using stained glass techniques and patterns provided by the instructor (and suitable for a beginner level student) Use of all tools and supplies is included, although it is recommended that students bring in a pair of safety goggles or glasses to wear. Students will choose from beginner patterns supplied by the instructor but will get their choice of colors to utilize in their panel or suncatcher. Stained Glass Suncatcher--Price Per Person: $ 65. Stained Glass 8x10 Panel---Price Per Person: $ 125.
Figure Drawing Workshop Next Dates Coming Up: Wednesday, March 7th from 7-9pm Wednesday, April 11th from 7-9pm Students in this workshop will have the opportunity to learn how to sketch the figure, with a live nude model in attendance. An instructor will be present or you can just work on your own sketches and will guide you with short and long poses. Precious Metal Clay-PMC for Beginners and Intermediates Please note: Due to the rising silver market, this workshop may be increased
at time or registration due to an increase in cost of materials.
Upcoming available workshop dates: TBA Beginners will learn about PMC without having to make a huge investment, while experienced students can further their knowledge with more advanced projects. Precious Metal Clay is a clay-like material that when fired in the kiln turns to pure silver. Experiment with this material while using instructor's tools and techniques. Learn ways to incorporate this incredible jewelry material into your own designs. Finished work can be picked up after firing. Class cost covers 1 package of PMC, use of all tools and firing of completed pieces. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 3 hrs. $150. per student. This workshop teaches techniques associated with working with Precious Metal Clay
Corrugated Metal Workshop
Upcoming Available Workshop Dates: TBA Make a variety of textured shapes that you can combine with beads to create your own pair of earrings or pendant. Students will use copper. You will learn how to add texture the metal, add a patina to metal, add beads and ear wires to make earrings or a jump ring to make a pendant. You will leave this workshop with multiple pieces that you can keep or give as gifts. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 2 hrs. $ 75 per student. This workshop teaches metalsmithing techniques (no soldering)
The Art of Spirals-A Wire Working Jewelry Workshop
Upcoming available workshop dates: Saturday, February 18th from 2-4pm Saturday, March 10th from 2-4pm Saturday, April 28th from 2-4pm
Learn how a few simple tools can be used to create your own unique jewelry in this wire working workshop. You will learn how to make a variety of links to create your own necklaces, earrings, bracelets and pendants. Students are welcome to bring any materials (beads, charms, etc.) they wish to incorporate into their finished pieces of jewelry. No prior jewelry making experience is necessary! 2 hrs. $ 55 per student. This workshop teaches wire working techniques
