| Art Work Accepted on Consignment We work with some of our local artists on a consignment basis. If you are interested in having your work in our gallery, please contact us for an appointment so we can view your work. Because talent knows no age boundaries, we even display the work of children if it meets gallery standards. (See our submission guidelines below.) At Creative Genius we seek to provide a forum for artists to show their creations and get exposure. Artists won't be misrepresented or exploited. Since we are artists too, we know how valuable fair treatment can be! Our goal is to create a win-win situation for the artists and for the business that showcases their work.
SUBMISSION GUIDELINES FOR ARTISTS Art is always welcomed at Creative Genius Art Gallery and Studio. Unfortunately, space restraints do force us to limit the amount of art work we can accept into the gallery. We do have a waiting list for artists whose art work is accepted that we do not yet have room to display. If your work is accepted but we need to put you on our waiting list, you will be notified and we will give you the approximate month when we believe there will be room opening up for your work to be displayed. If you have never physically visited our gallery, please feel free to familiarize yourself with us through a visit or via our website at www.creativegeniusonline.com. We are a contemporary art gallery and try to carry a variety of artistic styles and subject matters to provide our clients with a range of items to choose from. We consider artists working in all mediums, any genres and of any experience levels. Our fine art ranges in retail price from $300 to $2500. Generally we strive to keep the work on our walls at a retail price under $3000. Our consignment agreements are provided in writing and rates will be discussed upon acceptance of your work. The following is a list of specifics regarding submission :You may submit a minimum of 4 samples and a maximum of 10 samples. Only originals will be displayed on the walls in Creative Genius Art Gallery. If you have prints you wish to submit, please specify that they are prints when submitting samples. Submissions can be hand-delivered or sent via mail to Creative Genius LLC, Attn: Julie Basello, 32 B North Main Street, Medford, NJ, 08055. You may also email us a link to a website to allow us to view submissions if you prefer. We cannot accept submissions directly by email at this time. All samples should be submitted in either slide form, as a photograph, or digitally (CD). Slides, photographs or CDs of digital images should be clearly labeled with artist name, contact information and size of actual piece. IF you would like your items returned to you, please include a self-addressed, stamped envelope along with your submissions. Photographs should be 4x6 and digital images should be on a clearly labeled CD in jpg format. All submissions should be accompanied by size information for each piece, information on whether it is framed, and medium. All submissions should be accompanied by an artist statement and a resume outlining any awards, etc that the artist has won. Awards do not affect selection but it is a good way to acquire information about the artist. We consider all art submissions so please don’t eliminate yourself if you are emerging or have never received an award for your art work. Once art work is accepted for submission and ready to be displayed in the gallery, please be sure all wall art is framed in a secure frame. The frame may have glass or it may not. All frames should have eye hooks and braided metal picture wire attached to them so the work is ready to hang. Lighter frames are preferred over heavier frames, whenever possible. Insurance is optional. If you would like your pieces insured during the duration of your contract, there may be a small fee per month for hanging your pieces in order to insure them. You are not required to insure the pieces with us.
