"Distracted Art #5" 18"x15" "Your Music Makes Me Dance" 17"x17" A Statement about distractedART from the artist: distractedART was born from a restless mind and body. I am bored recreating nature and engineered visuals. I will leave this to God and photographers. A flow of ideas and a love of detail move me to combine reality and fantasy into conscious and unconscious stream of thought on paper. Detail versus simplicity is my choice when beginning a new painting. The entire work is first done in pen and ink. Excitement is conveyed through shape, line, reality, imagination and color. The color is added after I am satisfied with my completed composition. Color in intensity and relative softness gives me great pleasure while working. I do not work in sections, but on the entire work at once. Hopefully the viewer will find a lovely surprise at each glimpse or thoughtful look into my art. distractedART is not meant to hold the viewer “hostage” to the creator’s feelings; but open a world of escape in the viewers imagination. My goal is to create art that is open to interpretation and gives enjoyment. Unframed Originals Also Available-These are sold matted but without a frame
